Dispersants can be added to a suspension of solid or liquid particles in a liquid to improve the separation of the particles and prevent them from settling or clumping.

Evenly disperse dyestuff

Dispersing agents can be used in polyester dyeing to evenly disperse the dyestuff in the dye bath.

Reduce environmental impacts

The primary objectives of dispersant use are to reduce environmental impacts associated with surface slicks, enhance removal of oil from the environment through biodegradation, and rapidly reduce toxicity through dilution.
